I feel like this picture is enough of a greeting! I don’t even need to say good morning…. don’t you want to bite your computer screen? I know 🙂
Well wipe that drool off the keyboard and get in the kitchen to roll these babies out already! it is the easiest recipe eva!
- One roll of frozen dough (in the freezer section)
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1 T cinnamon
- 2/3 cup unsalted butter melted
Combine brown sugar and cinnamon. Roll dough into a square, pour melted butter on top then sprinkle brown sugar mix into the dough covering it completely. Roll dough into log. Cut into 1/2 inch pieces and place in a greased baking dish. Bake 15 minutes at 425.
Frosting:
- 2/3 cup butter
- 1/2 cup confectioners sugar (add more if needed)
- 1 tsp vanilla
Voila… you have warm, ooey, gooey, cinny buns 🙂
For me, this recipe brings back just as warm of memories as these buns are coming out of the oven! I had just graduated college when I first tried this recipe. I remember biting into a bun and thinking, I made this?!? They were soooo good! My fam loved them too….AND… I loved feeding them!
If there is one season I love most, it’s Fall… but I really miss Fall in Ohio… so I’m missing my family right now! Anything I can do to recreate “home” I’m doing it…even if it means eating ooey calories!

I am going to try and make these in the morning. I hope they look like yours.
Those look delicious! What kind of frozen dough did you use?
Hi Molly- Thanks for the comment! I use Rhodes dough in the freezer section- 3 rolls in 1 bag 🙂
